Bridal Shower Ideas: Fun Themes for the Bride-to-Be
Besides her wedding day, one of the most memorable times in any Bride’s life is her Bridal shower. This is a traditional event hosted by her friends, family or co-workers to help her have time to relax and enjoy herself before she gets married. In this day and age, sometimes the Bride even chooses her own bridal shower with the people around her she most enjoys being around. Here are some ideas for Bridal shower themes:
Spa Day If you have a local spa or salon in your town, then a day at the spa is just what the Bride and bridal party need to de-stress and get beautiful for the wedding day. Spas often offer special rates for bridal parties to get pampering like manicures, pedicures, facials and massages. Then just sit back and enjoy all the special treatment that will leave you feeling refreshed and radiant for the wedding day. To make it even more fun, get someone to snap photos and create a bridal shower scrapbook to enjoy later on.
Martini Party – Many brides-to-be are forgoing the traditional “bachelorette” party for something less hang-over inducing and much classier. Heading to a nice quiet club to enjoy a couple of exotically flavored martinis (like chocolate-tini’s) then listening to some jazz and sharing some girlfriend style gossip are much better ways to enjoy this time than a drunken rampage that everyone will regret the next day.
Room of the House Don’t know what to get for the Bride and Groom? Then a room of the house shower is a great way to get them something that they can use. Each shower guest brings a gift for a particular room in their new home. You might bring a set of towels for the bathroom, a pair of pillows for the living room, or utensils for the kitchen. Gifts can be left around the house bride and groom have to find them. It’s a lot of fun and the couple will have something they can use for years to come.
Jack & Jill Bridal showers are starting to become more of a family event that includes both the Bride and Groom and their friends and families. That means much more fun and interesting parties. One great way to host a Jack & Jill party is by creating a short presentation of how the couple met, some special events in their life and lots of funny pictures. Let family members narrate the presentation to give them an opportunity to share with everyone how special the couple are to everyone.
