What steps can you take my uncle to fix this huge legal error?
My uncle owes much money because his name was confused with another man. This is her story: investigative/two-men-same-name- http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/ legal-nightmare-20100511 There are steps you can take? Anyone else can use? Perhaps, this is identity theft?
My dad had the same problem. You may qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and go through the whole process get a lawyer and clear his name, or go hunting and find the man and other charges as it is considered as identity theft. But you need proff that guys name was used without your permission (the other). All documents may help. Consult a lawyer. Hope this helps! =] Good luck!
