Identity Theft and Wordpress
It was a license with a woman’s picture being covered by a grumpy looking man. He was dark haired and had facial hair.
A collection agency has provided me with an ID Theft Affidavit which has an option that asks if I'm willing to assist in the prosecution of the person committed the fraud. I have no idea who it could have been but it took place in MD and I live in CA. If there is a prosecution, I don't want to be hassled with it. I called the collection agency and they say they will not clear the debt if I do not assist. Can they do that? I don't know the laws related to this stuff. I've been battling this collection agency for the better part of 2 years and it seems they are able to dictate the process without having to be constrained by regulations or good judgement. Can someone please help!?
Someone stole my credit card and charged less than $500, and I don't think it was a 1st offense. What charges does this carry if it is and is not a 1st offense, and what sort of punishment will he receive? We're in Ohio.
Also how are they different than years ago? Did Bush sign something in 2003?

I could include the democrats in Congress, but then I would have a veritable novel on my hands.
Someone has bee working with my social security number for the same company for over 5 years and I believe the company was notified of this in January of 2004 and failed to take action. As a result of this fraud I have suffered a large amount of financial losses over the last 2-3 months. I would like to bring a suit against this company for negligence and infliction of emotional distress and also against the person using my number for theft and fraud.
I misplaced two of my social security checks and can't find them. I will report them stolen/lost and request for a new one. Am I in danger of ID theft? how can I help myself with ID theft just in case? thanks!
i saw on the news i think about a week or two ago that some people stole credit and identity theft by driving by around stores and using some sort of technology in their car to steal it. but what if its in a mall? i like to shop at forever21, and i heard that was one of the stores affected by this crime, and im worried that it would happen at the mall.
